Hotdog Exchange, 1998
Installation with video
Investigation of what could be an intimate space within a public space, on a neutral site, between two people: a hotdog vendor and the client.
….photos, “snapshots” thrown on a rolling table where the spectator can leaf through them. In front of him/her, the voice of the vendor diffused from a radio who is also looking through the images and sharing her experiences with each client. The space becomes intimates through two elements: 1 the pose in each picture, the mouths wide open eating susages and 2 what is not said but understood in the monologue, sometimes even obscene.
